Brand new blog!

Hi. My name is Kim Guyette, & this is my blog.

I just recently opened my very own online store on Yola.com, and am in the process of setting it up and making it big. I sell jewelry that I make myself. It's very therapeutic, and makes me happy. My store address is www.originalkimcreations.com . I was on eBay for about 6 years, and had finally started making a name for myself, then they had to go and change their pricing system, and I got fed up with them constantly raising fees and prices and nickel & diming me to death, and I closed my store, just like that. It kind of hurt. I put a lot of time and effort into my store, and was very proud of the fact that I could say, "I have a store on eBay," but it just became too expensive.

Now I have a similar, though much smaller, store on Etsy.com, which is the website that came about because some other people were fed up with eBay as well and decided to make their own site to counter eBay.

Etsy, unfortunately, is not nearly as well known as eBay, and is exclusively for crafters to post on, which seems to be somewhat limiting, but I can see how it controls certain important parameters that their creators probably wanted to safeguard and maintain.

Anyway, if you or someone you know is looking for high quality handcrafted, made in America, jewelry from a cottage industry, please keep my store in mind
